Marquina is a Barcelona based textile designer with a worldwide reputation. Born in 1952, she has been creating gorgeous rugs and other accessories since the 1970s, gaining acclaim from institutions as prestigious as New York's MoMa, and scooping National Design Awards along the way. Mixing creative designs with sustainable production, Nanimarquina rugs are a cut above conventional floor coverings, and the Layers Exklusiv Carpet Ø80cm is an excellent example.

As the name suggests, the Layers Exklusiv Carpet Ø80cm has been made from a series of layered textiles. Each section has been crafted via traditional hand tufted wool production, resulting in vibrant colours and a level of softness that can't be matched by factory techniques. Incorporating a series of circular segments, this imaginatively conceived and well-crafted rug will brighten up anyone's home. In this model, the rug measures 80cm in diameter and is 1.1cm thick.
