The Wellbeing Wool Chobi Rug has been created by Ilse Crawford for the brand Nanimarquina. As the name suggests, Wellbeing is a range of textile products that foreground the wellbeing of producers, owners and the planet. Made from hand-spun, chemical-free Afghan wool produced by local artisans, this soft rug blends human values and sublime softness in a beautiful package.
The Wellbeing Wool Chobi Rug has a rectangular shape and comes in four sizes. The smallest measures 80cm wide by 170cm long, while the largest measures 300cm by 400cm, and there are two intermediate sizes to choose. All feature Afghan wool which has been hand knotted to create both a luxurious feel and a gorgeous appearance.
Every version of the Wellbeing Wool Chobi Rug has a thickness of 4.2cm and all come in the same understated brown tone. They have a knot density of 19,800 knots per metre, a pile height of between 25 and 40mm, and a weight of 4.9kg per square metre. Weights will vary significantly depending on which model is selected, with the smallest rug weighing 6.7kg and the largest weighing 60kg. All can be dry cleaned as needed to preserve the natural colour of the Afghan wool.
